Ever since the 2018 World cup has been happening in Russia since 14 June 2018, several countries have lost chances to qualify to the next round of the world cup and the recent team joining the league of looser is Leo Messi’s Argentina which has failed to defeat a Croatian team captained by Real Madrid’s play maker Luka Modric.
A match which started in favor of Argentina turned out to be disastrous for the south Americans after losing chances by Sergio Aguero, Higuan among others. After the break, the Croatians returned with extra strength and scored 3 goals through their Captain Luka Modric and midfielder Rakitic which came in the last minute giving them an upper hand in the group leading with 6 points after their early win against the super eagles (Nigeria).
If Argentina fails to win their last match against Nigeria, they will join teams like Mohammed Salah’s Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia among others to be eliminated from this year’s FIFA World Cup 2018 held in Moscow Russia.
Despite the Loss, Fans have praised defender Nikolas Otamendi and midfielder Mascherano for staging an excellent performance trashing Messi, Dybala and Sergio Aguero. They have also praised Croatians Luka Modric, Brozovic, Mandzujik and playmaker Rakitic.
Argentina will take on Nigeria and Croatia face Iceland.
Croatia is leading with six points, Iceland one point, Argentina one point and Nigeria without any point.
In attendance was former football star and Ballondor winner Diego Maradona who seemed disappointed with the Performance of the Argentina team.
Croatia has joined Russia to qualify to the next round.
