Gulu Court pushes Bobi Wine, 34 others’ Treason case hearing to 3rd December

Like the former Gambian president Yahya Jammeh Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine believes he can vacate president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni off power through an election without any heartless effort.

Bobi Wine says he can defeat president Museveni through the ballot because currently his supporters out number his. Adding that using guns to over throw a government is an outdated method and he cannot adopt it.

Bobi Wine strongly accepts that Museveni’s long firm grip on power can be ended without any inhuman step undertaken.

“Democracy is not broad comedy, but real. I know people power is not just a slogan but an assertion. I know that these people are capable of doing everything.

These people took a dangerous route to bring Museveni to power. He convinced them to pick up guns and fight but we are telling these people that we can change our destiny without any bloodshed.”

Bobi Wine further stated that as a right thinking person the act of violence has never crossed his mind neither does he believe in violence.

“democracy is the only way out. I believe we can do it and I believe we are going to do it. If all these Ugandans who supports us get registered, line up in millions, we can box Museveni out of power.

I am also aware of the narrative Museveni has been stating that; ooh I have the gun; no one can offset me from power,” Bobi Wine said.

Relatedly, Bobi Wine said that former Gambian president Yahayah Jammeh the dictator was out laid through the Ballot yet he was “much younger than Museveni, much more sophisticated than Museveni.”

In addition, he said that; “we defeated Museveni in the Arua bi-elections, Rukngiri, Kyadondo East, Bugiri and Jinja municipality yet he had the guns and the money.”

And now Bobi Wine still believes they can win in the coming general elections arguing that youth constitutes the greatest percentage (80%) of Uganda’s population and there’s no way he can lose an election with that great support from the youth.

“These are the same people (youth) who did not want the constitution to be changed,” he noted.

Finally, Bobi Wine said that his strong believes in democracy cannot let him sacrifice his human rights because democracy is the only globally accepted strategy of changing government.

“It’s the only option; I repeat the only option. Any leader who tells you not to believe in democracy aims at enslaving you. You have that power; nobody is going to give it to you. You only have to sensitised to be able to use that power to your advantage by waking up peacefully and get that ID, then when the time comes go and vote.”
