 But these are perfect for serving guests with a foamy meal or also with mint tea. In middle eastern countries, these are recognized as a symbol of happiness, joy, pleasure, and generosity. Moreover, also crucial to serving in holidays, weddings, and festivals.

Halva 

Halva is one of the best middle eastern desserts. That is similar to fudge and easy to prepare. Some of the ingredients that are used for its preparation are tahini, salt, sugar, water, vanilla bean, toasted pistachios, cardamom, chopped chocolate, and strong coffee. Some of the steps of preparation are mentioned as:

  • In a large bowl place tahini and salt and stir them continuously.
  • In another pot place sugar, water, vanilla extract, and bean seeds, and stir them. Clean the sides of the pan using a pastry brush.
  • Heat the mixture to 300 degrees. Once it becomes mixed avoid it to stir because It can cause to make your halva crumbly.
  • Put this mixture in a pan and let it cool for a while, keep it in the refrigerator to be chilled for 3 hours before serving.

Kataifi Middle Eastern Dessert Recipes

For the preparation of the kataifi dessert, we use kataifi dough, walnuts, cinnamon, ground clove, milk, water, sugar, and lemon. These are stepwise guidelines to prepare it:

  • Start to do it by preparing syrup. For its makings add all the ingredients in a pot and bring them to a boil.
  • After boiling leave it to cool for a while. Then move to make a filling of kataifi.
  • To make it take a blender and add walnuts, ground cloves, and cinnamon, and mix them.

  • Melt the butter and put it in the sides of the pan. For while unrolling the dough of kataifi.
  • Cover this dough with a towel. Make the part of the dough and spread them on the palm of your hand.
  • In a pan add oil and dough after giving it a shape of it.
  • Preheat an oven and bake kataifie in it for 30 minutes.
  • After putting them out to the oven, cover them with a towel and let them for 10 minutes.
  • Pour the syrup on the kataifie and let it absorb.

Sahlab Middle Eastern Dessert Recipes

Sahlab is an amazing middle eastern dessert to enjoy on cold winter days. Ingredients for the preparation of sahlab are milk, heavy cream, sahlab powder, sugar, and rosewater. As it is very quick to prepare these are the guidelines for its preparation:

  • In a saucepan add milk in cream.
  • Start mixing sugar with sahlab. Heat this mixture until it is boiled.
  • Stir it continuously with the additional sugar regularly. Make the heat down for a while.
  • For the best flavor add rose water to the mixture.
  • Remove it from the heat and add it to a small bowl.
  • Keep it in the fridge for an hour before serving and enjoy.

Basbousa 

To prepare basbousa ingredients that we use are semolina coarse, coconut desiccated, butter melted, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, yogurt, almonds, sugar, water, lemon juice, rose water, and orange blossom.

Directions for its preparation included

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a bowl add sugar, baking soda, melted butter, and semolina. Combine all the ingredients by mixing by hand.
  • Add yogurt in it and mix it well.
  • In a baking dish press the batter and make it smooth.
  • Make the shape of the diamond by using a sharp knife.
  • Place almonds on them for a beat look and flavor.
  • Keep in the oven for 30 minutes to make it brown.
  • In a saucepan add sugar, water, lemon juice, rosewater, and orange blossom. Make it boiled.
  • Now mix both of these preparations and basbousa is ready to serve.

Kunafeh 

To make kunafeh, a middle eastern pastry, we use granulated sugar, water, lemon juice, phyllo dough, melted butter, cheese, orange food for coloring, and crushed pistachios. these are stepwise guidelines for its preparation:

  • Start with the preparation of syrup and to do it add sugar, water, and lemon juice, to a pot.
  • Bring it to heat to dissolve it.
  • To make kunafeh preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Break the pieces into small pieces, as they are completely shredded.
  • In the dough add food color and melted butter.
  • Spread the dough in the baking dish and form a fine covering of it. And add cheese at the top of it.
  • Make sure to seal the edges and cheese couldn’t have leftover during baking.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven and place it on a serving tray.
  • Now mix the syrup into kunafeh and serve.

Baklava 

Baklava is such a middle eastern dessert that is easy to make and can be prepared or served to crowds as well. For its preparation, we use nuts, walnuts, phyllo dough, butter, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, water, sugar, honey, lemon juice, and pistachios. here it is the method of its preparation:

  • Make the separations of dough according to the directions.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a food processor, add sugar, nuts, cinnamon, and cloves.
  • Melt the butter in an oven. Make a shape of sheets to form its layers.
  • Make the layers with fillings and sheets.
  • Cut that into equal squares and bake for 3o to 40 minutes. 
  • After baking remove it from the oven and serve it with syrup. 
  • To prepare syrup for it combine lemon juice, water, sauce, sugar, honey, and cinnamon stick. 
  • Add baklavas with the mixture to absorb it mostly. Chill it for a while and it is ready to serve.
