Controversies
During the Ramadhan period, when Loyda Twinomujuni Muhimbura (Gamba Nokora), the district female Councilor representing Rubaya Sub-county, in Mbarara district council provided food items for the Muslims, Sheikh Abdallah Mukwaya, the district Kadhim said some leaders think they are not focused hence undermining them specially Hon. Ayebare Margaret whom he had never seen and had even never stepped in his office.
He further said the time would come when they would only consider people who respect them.
The Minister of Health, Jane Aceng, disclosed that no projects for the improvement and recovery of health facilities throughout the country will be carried out in the following fiscal year 2023/2024 owing to a lack of funds in the forthcoming national budget.
Hon. Ayebare responded that whenever the subject of a lack of health facilities in the Mbarara district is raised, people refer to the Mbarara regional referral hospital, but there is a long distance between the regional referral hospital and her people who live in the Mbarara district’s borders, and the only public health facility that supports the regional hospital is Rwera Health Centre IV, which also serves the districts of Kiruhura, Ibanda, and Buhweju on top of Mbarara District.
