One of the greatest money transfer options in Uganda is through Airtel Money. It’s used not just in the country but in most African nations such as Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Nigeria.
The most common problems experienced by consumers are blocked or forgotten Airtel Money PINs, which can be reset by either yourself or the telecom customer service team. Want to know how to change your Airtel money PIN, keep reading.
When you forget your Airtel money PIN and you attempt more than 5 times to access your account, it will most certainly result in Airtel blocking your account.
Blocking access to an account has the benefit of protecting your funds if another person tries to use your account to commit fraud or break in.
Resetting your Airtel Money PIN

If you forget your PIN, having a way to reset it without contacting the Airtel customer service team is the ideal solution to your pressing problem.
By getting a temporary PIN or by simply responding to the security questions associated with your account, it is highly likely that you can reset your Airtel Money PIN and recover access to your account.

Conclusion
In summary, for security reasons, you can only reset your forgotten Airtel Money PIN if your account balance satisfies the relevant requirements. Your account must be loaded with UGX 5,000 or less in Uganda.
In case your account balance is higher than this amount, you won’t be able to change your PIN to a different number unless you previously had it set before you reset your account PIN.
In any case, you can select a different number to which a temporary PIN will be set for you to access Airtel Money again if you know something about your old account PIN. You can then create a new PIN after receiving a temporary one.
The only ways to reset your account are to know the security questions associated with it, remember your old PIN, or have the minimum balance necessary to use an alternate number.
If you are unable to change your PIN using the steps shared above, please get in touch with the Airtel Money customer service team and provide identification as identification of account ownership.
