Alice Nyangoma is a Ugandan professional auditor and certified chartered accountant, currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit at Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). 

She plays an important role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organization, having garnered substantial knowledge and experience in auditing and financial analysis.

Her professional training further includes specialised certifications such as Check Point Security Administrator R70 from Information Security Systems (South Africa), Fraud Prevention and Detection from Ernst & Young, and Audit Specialist Skills from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

Alice Nyangoma’s career has primarily been within the communications sector, with a focus on auditing and financial oversight at the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC). 

As the Director of Internal Audit, she is a key member of UCC’s leadership team, participating in events such as the African Telecommunications Union’s (ATU) administrative council meeting.

Her responsibilities include auditing, financial analysis, revenue collection, tax assessment, tax filing, and risk assessment.

Other Career Accomplishments

Alice Nyangoma also sits as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the UCC Staff Provident Fund, indicating involvement in staff welfare and financial oversight in addition to her auditing role.

She is the Vice President at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Uganda, which focuses on training and providing Certification to Internal auditors.

Beyond her professional role, Nyangoma is involved in community work, particularly with orphanages. 

She also enjoys reading motivational books and listening to motivational speakers.

Achievements and Awards

Alice Nyangoma has built solid expertise in both internal and external auditing, coupled with extensive experience in financial management, treasury operations, and risk oversight. 

Over the years, she has developed broad knowledge in areas such as financial analysis, revenue administration, tax assessment and filing, as well as comprehensive risk evaluation.

In 2016, Alice was recognized as one of the four female administrators out of nine at UCC in the top management level, a point made to clearly show how UCC is trying to attain gender equality and women’s empowerment.
