Brian Mulondo was born in 1984 in Kampala to Mary Babirye (mother) who worked in Mulago Hospital as an assistant and Emmanuel Ssemugooma (father) a former policeman.

He received his primary education at Makerere University Primary School. After that, he attended Mengo Senior School for his secondary education.

He then attended Makerere University and graduated with a degree in social sciences.

Brian Mulondo and his wife Manuela Pacutho Mulondo wed in Watoto Church in 2012. The couple has two children, the second born named Bianca Zerlinda Mulondo.

They met while visiting Nairobi. Brian spotted Manuela on the bus and she claimed that God revealed to her that he was the man she would wed.

Career and Professional Work Experience

With 15 years of experience, Brian Mulondo is currently a well-known TV host, radio host, prime-time news anchor, voice actor, social media influencer, video producer, professional emcee, and media entrepreneur.

He began his career as the Guest Relations Manager at Watoto Church.

This is when he received his chance to read news on KPCNN, from which he moved to NTV. 

Brian began his television career in 2003 with a season of the lifestyle program Better Living, which aired on NTV. 

NTV contacted him again in 2011 to host a show called Tricksters where he demonstrated several strategies used by drifters to defraud people of their money and possessions.

This made him so well-known that MTN selected him to serve as the 2010 World Cup brand ambassador for Uganda.

After Tricksters, Brian hosted the Mini Bus TV Show, which later developed into Uganda’s top chat show and ran for two years.

During his time working at Mini Bus, Mulondo applied for radio and did a vocal test with Becky for Cruz Control.

In November 2016 with Josephine Karungi, Brian Mulondo became a Prime Time News Anchor at NTV due to his outstanding performance on the morning Breakfast show.

Controversies

In December 2022, Mulondo expressed his displeasure with musicians who do not take personal cleanliness seriously at the start of the week.

He claimed that many celebrities have unpleasant smells when they attend interviews and that some of them even have foul breath.

He named King Saha as one of the musicians who frequently attended corporate events and interviews while smelling like narcotics.

Mulondo’s statement attracted attention and generated discussion among followers and on various social media sites. While some criticized him for making the comments in public, others defended him.

In an exclusive phone interview, King Saha stated that he did not know Brian Mulondo and that anything he claimed was premeditated propaganda to divert his attention away from the main goal.
