Requirements:

  • You must have an operating account with the standard chartered bank.
  • Have a Good Credit reference Bureau report.
  • You should be able to provide a respectable physical address, a licensed business that has been operating for at least a year, and suitable and secure premises.
  • Any registered and licensed business, such as a grocery store, gas station, permanent mobile money agent, retail store, pharmacy, or hardware shop that has been open for at least a year, is eligible to be an agent.
  • The business can fall under any of the following categories; Registered Sole proprietors, Registered Partnerships, Limited liability companies, Cooperative Societies, or Microfinance Institutions.
  • The branch manager will quiz you about your company to make sure it complies with the minimum requirements. After that, you will complete a bank agent application form and attach business-related papers to it.
  • After submitting your application, you must wait for approval from a standard chartered bank.
