Boxing career

Zebra Ssenyange started as taekwondo when he was still a child and his first trainer was a gentleman called Erias who was a commando in Amin’s army. Erias started training him because he had temper issues and this was in Bwaise and when he joined primary seven he changed and got another coach called Abdullah who taught him Karate.

During his primary seven vacations, he was taught another spot and this was kickboxing which was still a new sport.

Zebra started training boxing with the help of coach Kayongo who took him to the school team of Kololo but he was not a student of Kololo. Is because of this talent that Kololo decided to give him a scholarship.

He won the school intermediate, juniors and other boxing competitions.

In 1997 Zebra Ssenyange got an injury and quit the sport but returned in 1998 as a Dynamic high school coach but still as an amateur boxer. In the same year, he joined the nationals in the Walter weight but because of his energy, he was put in the light middle.

He first travelled in the same year in Nakuru for the Orafiki games but lost the finals and returned with a silver medal.

Zebra joined the professional boxing in 2012 and his first fight was with a Kenyan boxer called Patrick Amote and his last one was with Bana Bana although he lost the fight.

After a successful career, he joined the amateur section in England where he fought a lot of fights and even the government of England wanted to retain him.
