Career and Professional Work Experience

Jacqueline Kiwanuka has over 20 years of experience in the finance and management sector in Uganda.
She began her career in May 2001 at Action Aid Uganda, starting as an Account Assistant up to May 2003 and then becoming a Finance and Administration Officer by June 2003.
From 2006 to 2013, she transitioned to the property sector. She held roles as a Finance Officer and later a Manager at the National Housing & Construction Company Limited.
She then took on increasingly senior roles, serving at Uganda Clays Limited from 2013 until 2021 as Head of Finance Department and briefly as an Acting Managing Director.
In September 2022, Jacqueline was appointed the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL).
In this role, she is responsible for financial planning, reporting, treasury management, and the fiscal frameworks that underpin UEDCL’s operations and investment plans.
Her expertise was critical in structuring the financial readiness of UEDCL to assume full management of the national electricity distribution assets from Umeme Ltd.
