Kabalega Wilderness Lodge will impress you with its unique charm and breathtaking views of the surrounding Murchison Falls National Park and the Bunyoro region.

The Kabalega Wilderness Lodge, which was named after Omukama (King) Chwa II Kabalega, a former king of the Bunyoro kingdom, consists of private safari cabins dispersed across 7 acres of thorny undergrowth next to the rushing waters of the mighty River Nile

Omukama Kabalega ruled Bunyoro kingdom in Uganda from 1870 to 1899. The lodge was built as a tribute to the great King, the Bunyoro people and their culture.

All lodge structures are comprised of an architectural balance of mud and wood, and the roof is thatched with grass hand-harvested from the rolling plains surrounding the lodges.

The walls are plastered with a contemporary take on traditional African mud and wattle. Kabalega Safari Lodge is tastefully adorned with rustic safari furniture and fixtures handcrafted from locally sourced, natural materials.

The open design of the cabins and dining area provides you with a sense of oneness with nature and uninterrupted views of the lodge’s magnificent and wild surroundings, ensuring that your unique safari experience continues even while you are inside.
