Boat cruise

The best place for a boat cruise is along the Kazinga Channel which is situated near Kazinga Channel View Resort in Queen Elizabeth National Park. 

The 32-kilometer waterway is the longest natural water channel in the world. It is the link between lakes George and Edward.

Kazinga Channel also has the highest concentration of hippos in the world, so you will see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds flying close to your boat. The average duration of the boat cruise is about two hours. The best time for a boat cruise is in the morning or evening, when animals have come to drink.

This activity costs 30 USD for foreign non-residents, 25 USD per person for foreign residents, and 30,000 UGX for citizens of East Africa.

Game drive

There are several well-established game driving tracks in Queen Elizabeth National Park from which game drives can be conducted. 

The park is home to the Ugandan kob, bushbucks, warthogs, climbing lions, African Cape buffalo, leopards, and many other species.

Kazinga Channel View Resort is 45 minutes by private plane from Kampala, landing either at Kasese or Mweya airfield. Alternatively, it is approximately six hours via Mbarara or Fort Portal – Kasese from Kampala.
