Early Life and Education
Mildred Pedun was born on the 4th of June. She comes from Asuret, Soroti, Uganda.
She is a sister to Flavia Hillary Tino.
Mildred went to Naalya Secondary School for her high school studies.
She has radiated enthusiasm for her work since high school, when she ran for information prefect. This piqued her interest in becoming a radio presenter.
However, when she joined the University at Axial International University, she did a business course.
She later enrolled for the YMCA’s journalism program after discovering that business was not her calling. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication course at YMCA.

Career and Professional Work Experience
Mildred Pedun was first employed at Kampala FM and Top Radio.
She worked at Kampala FM for more than three years. The two media houses gave her a platform to practice what she had studied and she performed to her best.
When the long-serving news anchor of four years, Sandra Kahumuza Twinoburyo exited from NTV Uganda, she applied for a position with one of her friends who had quit and luckily for her, she was employed.
Mildred thus replaced Sandra for the NTV weekend edition starting in April 2022.
Achievements and Awards

Mildred is the face of the NTV Weekend Edition program on Nation Media Group station, NTV Uganda.
Controversies
It has not been all roses for Mildred Pedun while on the scene. She has appeared frazzled, afraid and bewildered on two separate occasions.
On one occasion, the iPad she was using to present news almost fell off the table as she was signing out. She managed to keep her composure though. She stammered for around ten seconds in the middle of a story.
As a disadvantage to her rising status, Mildred claims that she used to perform some things but is no longer able to do them due to a lack of privacy.
Mildred Pedun sobbed during a live prime-time news show on NTV as she revealed the death of her coworker Edward Muhumuza who passed away on March 25, 2023.
Pedun began the breaking news with a collected voice in a popular clip, but as she continued reading the teleprompter, her voice began to shake until she heaved and sobbed.
The studio producers cut to the scene of a field reporter, Kamana Walunyolo, who presented his findings from witnesses who indicated the dead may have been tired and dozed off before driving off the road and collapsing after hitting a signpost.
Hobbies
Mildred Pendun likes watching movies, reading books, swimming, and travelling. She is an accomplished athlete who also doubles as a cosmetics artist and plays netball, cricket, volleyball, and athletics.
