He is widely known for his holdings which include real estate investments, security guards, and bodyguards.

Mohammed Alibhai was born in Uganda but he is of Indian origin.
Career and Professional Work Experience
Mohammed Alibhai’s name has consistently been included in numerous Ugandan journals as one of the country’s wealthiest people.
However, he has allegedly made the most of his money from assets he obtained from the Departed Custodians Board under dubious conditions.
When the Ugandan government decided to return the property to Asians, Alibhai was among the adept individuals who acquired powers of attorney from Canadians who were afraid to return to Uganda to establish their rightful claims. Others were not interested at the moment.
Both the Ugandan Parliament and Canadian authorities filed complaints requesting that the government of Uganda give up Alibhai for trial, stating that Canadian citizens who were members of the Ismaili community living in Uganda before Idi Amin’s deportation order in 1972 possessed these properties.
Mohammed Alibhai’s name is linked to over 900 properties in Uganda.
Achievements and Awards
Mohammed Alibhai was one of Uganda’s wealthiest people, according to a 2007 report in the New Vision newspaper.
Mohammed Alibhai possesses 700 premium real land titles in Kampala.
Controversies
Mohammed Allibhai attempted to obstruct a Parliamentary probe into his alleged fraudulent acquisition of over 1,200 prime properties worth trillions of shillings from Asians displaced by Idi Amin in 1972.
Hon Ibrahim Kasozi (FDC) led the investigation, which implicated Allibhai in the big theft of the estates. He claimed, however, that he obtained “impeachable Powers of Attorney to repossess and sell” the departing Asian’s properties.
According to the Departed Asian Property Custodian Board (DAPCB), Alibhai is one of the individuals who fraudulently repossessed and afterwards sold these properties through his company Alderbridge Real Estate and Management Ltd.
The DAPCB testified to the COSASE subcommittee that they had information pinning Alibhai and top government officials and tycoons who illegally repossessed and sold off these assets under dubious circumstances.
