Career and Professional Work Experience
Pastor Tom Mugerwa received a call from God to start a fellowship ministry in 1990 while working as a migrant worker in London. God had asked him to return to Uganda and build an army for Him to fight battles during the end times.
Back at home, his wife, Pastor Justine Mugerwa, had opened their home for home cell meetings with five other members every Friday.
Pastor Tom Mugerwa ignored God’s call for some time, and as a result, whatever he was doing in London was stagnant to the point that he became very ill.
He later obeyed God’s command and returned home five months later.
When he returned, he shared his encounter with God with the cell members at home, and he was later chosen to be the leader of the home cell meetings.
God blessed the home cell ministry as its membership grew to the point where the house could no longer accommodate them.
What was once only Friday weekly day meetings expanded to include Wednesdays and overnights.
Thus, Pastor Tom Mugerwa together with his wife Pastor Justine founded the Mutundwe Christian Fellowship (MCF) Ministries in 1992.
This created a lot of momentum, and many people joined the home cell, including Christians and new converts.

Controversies
Towards 31 December 2023, Pastor Tom Mugerwa was involved in an areal battle with fellow preacher, Apostle Lubega Grace over the Kololo Ceremonial Ground.
Pastor Tom had acquired permission to host his end-of-year prayers for three consecutive years, however, Phaneroo ministries also planned to use the same grounds.
In the end, MCF relocated and held the prayers elsewhere. Pastor Tom Mugerwa had intended to launch his own television station, Eternal Television on 31st December at Kololo during the end-of-year prayers.
In November 2021, Pastor Tom Mugerwa allegedly lost UGX270M but only reported UGX8M to the police. The actual figure emerged following the arrest of Innocent Mukisa, his former assistant.
The cash theft sent Pastor Tom into a state of panic since the thief not only took the money but also escaped with documents containing the pastor’s banking transactions.
According to a report, Mukisa was a culprit who was dismissed after Mugerwa presumed that he had been used as a spy by a member of Mugerwa’s family, despite his pleading not guilty.
Innocent Mukisa was arrested in Mbarara, where he had purchased land and a car with the money, taken to Makindye court and remanded to Luzira Prison.
When See TV debuted in August 2021, it encountered severe financial difficulties right away.
Employees frequently voiced complaints about their harsh working conditions and unpaid salaries.
They went so far as to approach prominent individuals, such as the NUP lawmaker Joyce Bagala Ntwatwa, to effectively communicate their concerns to the appropriate authorities.
The station eventually shut down and stopped broadcasting.
To revitalize the station, Pastor Mugerwa drew on his extensive background in media and his enormous following both domestically and abroad.
