Pastor Ssenyonga said the late Augustine Yiga did not go to heaven, he loved money more than God.
While addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga of the Christian Life Church criticised the late Pastor Augustine Yiga for loving money more than God.
In a statement, Pr. Ssenyonga said that the deceased besides striving to achieve quick money he also sought for the honour that was undeserving to him.
“I can’t speak badly about a dead person but I want to take this opportunity to ask people to avoid such things, Loving quick money, wanting honour that is not deserved among other things,” Ssenyonga said.
He made the remarks on Tuesday morning at presser while speaking about the life of Pastor Augustine Yiga Abizayo of the Revival church Kawala, who died in the wee hours of Monday.
According to pastor Ssenyonga, the late made so many wrongs and non-spiritual things while he was still alive which he cited creates doubts about whether he went to heaven or not.
Ssenyonga however, raised hopes that since Yiga was bedridden for a long time with sickness, he might have used that time to seek for God’s mercy and forgiveness.
“This morning I was informed of the passing of pastor Yiga, we knew that the pastor had passed on a few days ago but was left on life support to make preparations. It’s sad news and I send my condolences to his family, friends, and followers,” he said.
“I hope that with all the time he spent in the hospital, Yiga repented and had accepted God as his savior. The last we heard about him tells us that he was not saved but let’s hope and believe that he had repented. I will be happy to go to heaven and find Yiga there.”

Among other evil deeds, Ssenyonga accused late Yiga of misleading his followers. The Christian Life Church Pastor said that the deceased misled many young girls and women into sleeping with him and in the process infected them with HIV/Aids.
“It’s on record that Mr. Yiga had HIV. We have evidence from health facilities and the test was done under the law,” Ssenyonga added.
He, however, urged all those that the deceased hurt or damaged in one way or the other to come to him for guidance.
“If there is anyone who has children or was hurt by Pr Yiga, let them come to Christian Life Church and we help them,” Ssenyonga urged.
“If Jjengo came to me seeking help, I would help him both financially and spiritually to change course from his father’s lifestyle. It would even help his church to grow bigger than it currently is,” he added.
