Skinniest People In The World – Who could be the skinniest person in the world? You’d be surprised to know that some people around the world will do just about anything to become skinny.

It may be due to peer pressure from friends and family, a medical condition they’re dealing with, or for the sake of attaining a specific weight goal. 

With the aid of doctors and professionals, some extremely skinny people can change their ways and put on weight. Others however continue to struggle i.e. those that are anorexic and can’t seem to attain the weight they want despite help.

The first one on our list is professional cyclist Tom Staniford. The 33-year-old was born in Akrotiri, Cyprus.  His condition is due to a unique ailment that prevents his body from storing fat.

He is the skinniest person in the world. The illness did not prevent him from winning the 2011 National Para-Cycling Circuit Race, though.

Sarnfiord was also identified by UCI as having several other impairments, such as lipodystrophy, low testosterone, mild hearing loss in both ears and poor flexibility.

He has lived in a variety of places, including Greenwich, Hamburg, Kuwait, Blandford Forum, and Wales.

He never stores fat in his body, regardless of what or how much he eats, which makes him appear slim. 

Valerie Levitin

At number two is Valerie Levitin. She is the thinnest woman in the world. Because of her history of weight loss, Valeria Levitin gained widespread recognition. 

Sadly, she doesn’t appear in the Guinness Book of World Records but she still received one of the skinniest women in the world.

She was born in 1973 in the Russian Federation. When Vera was sixteen, her parents moved to Monaco. It was peer pressure of wanting to become a thin model that influenced her into becoming that skinny.

To stop Valeria was difficult because she was determined to lose weight despite not being obese at all. She became anorexic, a disease that is suffered by millions of girls worldwide. Her family tried to get her medical help when they learned that she could die.

The doctors did all they could but unfortunately, Galleria died on December 1, 2013, at the age of 39, weighing 25kg.

Cathie Jung

Cathie Jung, a fan of Victorian clothing and corsets, rose to the spotlight after setting the Guinness World Record for having the thinnest waist of any living person.

Her spouse assisted her in achieving her goal by supporting her throughout her tightlacing journey, which started in earnest in the early 1990s.

The details about her upbringing and family have not been made public. Cathie was however born with a normal-sized body.

She admitted that she started using a corset, which helped to reduce her waist because she could not fully achieve fashion with a large waist. After being measured with a waist of 38.1 cm (15 in) when wearing a corset and 53.34 cm (21 in) without one, Cathie was noted as having the smallest waist. She is 1.72 meters (5 feet 8 inches) tall.

She wears her corset every day and only takes it off when going for a bath.

Lizzie Valesquez

Lizzie Valesquez is an American motivational speaker, activist, writer, author, and YouTuber. She was born with Marfanoid-Progeroid-Lipodystrophy Syndrome, an incredibly rare congenital illness that prohibits her from gaining weight and storing body fat among other symptoms.

She was bullied as a child because of her ailments. She was bullied on the internet when she was a teenager, which led her to decide to pursue a motivational speaking career.

Her disease is comparable to several other disorders, called progeria. It hasn’t yet been properly diagnosed and is termed as extremely unusual.

As a characteristic of her unusual condition, Velásquez is unable to acquire weight due to medical reasons. She supposedly has approximately 0% body fat and has never been more than 29 kg (64 lbs).

Medical researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center are working to see how Lizzie can be helped.

 Lukyanova covers her naturally green, grey, or blue eyes with makeup and contacts to intensify the “Barbie” impression. She has admitted to having breast implants but claims that her daily gym exercises and a specific diet have left the rest of her physique natural and thin.

The rigorous raw vegetarian Lukyanova only consumes liquids. She said that in 2012, she weighed 45 kilograms (100 pounds). She claimed to be converting to breatharianism in 2014 and that she was preparing herself to survive solely on light and air. This is a religion that holds the fundamental idea that obtaining food and potentially water is not vital for living.

Her fame has increased since the diverse author has also published works on the history of burlesque. She once collaborated with renowned French musician Sebastian Tellier on song recordings. She is regarded as one of the world’s skinniest persons, nevertheless.
