Zebra Ssenyange, 39 met his death in the wee- hours of Wednesday morning after gunmen and shot him dead in his home in Bwaise.
The boxing fraternity is still in shock after news broke that one of their own Isaac Zebra Ssenyange has been killed in a gruesome manner.
Zebra Ssenyange, 39 commonly known as Mando met his death in the wee- hours of Wednesday morning after unidentified gunmen attacked and shot him dead in his home in Bwaise near Eden Service Park a suburb of the capital city Kampala.
According to a sports journalist known as Kalyango who works with Record FM says by the time he arrived at the crime scene the body had been to Mulago for postmortem.
Zebra Ssenyange alias Mando is a former national team captain for bombers and he featured prominently in the super heavy fights before he joined the amateurs to become a full professional.
Mando is best remembered for captaining the Bombers team to the 10th All Africa Games in Maputo city Mozambique in 2011.
His 15-year career was highlighted by 195 wins and 19 losses before he turned professional in 2012 debuting with Kenyan boxer Patrick Amote.
Currently, Zebra has employed by the boxing federation in charge of general duties and coordinating his Zebra boxing club.
He has left behind a widow called mercy and a child called Senyange junior. Burial arrangements are still unknown.
