Museveni has said that he will not allow Bobi Wine and his funding group to destabilize Uganda’s peace.

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party leader, Yoweri Museveni Tibuhaburwa has said that he will not allow Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine and his funding group to destabilize Uganda’s peace.

Museveni made the remarks while addressing NRM party leaders from regions of Hoima City, Buliisa, Kikuube, Hoima, Kiryandongo and Masindi.

He said that he is aware of the foreign groups supporting Kyagulanyi’s National Unity Platform party but he will not allow them to cause chaos in Uganda like they did in countries including Libya, Sudan and Zimbabwe.

I know Kyagulanyi and the fools supporting him who don’t know Uganda very well. These include foreigners and others who are here but I know all them. I know that this one is a fool and the other one,” Museveni said.

“I will capture Kyagulanyi’s group, you just wait. I work underground but I will finish them. As you are up shouting hooray, I am working underground.”

Museveni also cited an example of the recent scenes that transpired during the November free Bobi Wine protests

He explained that many of these foreign groups assigned groups of youths to run to the streets and demonstrate to seek western support but their plans were unsuccessful.

The NRM candidate who could not hold back his praise for his army noted that it was deployed at an appropriate time to ensure peace was restored more so in areas around Kampala.

He said that since then many of these so-called youths from the NUP fear to attack anyone wearing an NRM shirt.

“They found our children (youths) here and asked them to cause chaos in Uganda just like they did in Libya, Sudan and Zimbabwe not knowing we are a different cup of tea. Those people lit fire on roads not knowing they were spoiling our tarmac,” Museveni noted.

“They tried to disrupt Kampala and the army came in. They thought it was going to be like other countries but the army gave them the medicine they wanted. The other time I called Kampala to find out how the city was and I was told even if you abandon a yellow t-shirt, no one touches it because it is hot. No one will destabilize Kampala.”
