Flavia Tumusiime is now the Head of Broadcast at Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda.
NMG confirmed her appointment today, choosing her over several experienced managers who had also applied for the role.
At 36, Flavia becomes one of the youngest people to take on such a top media job in Uganda. She takes over from Johnson Omollo, who left the position earlier this year.
In her new role, she’ll lead operations for NTV Uganda, Spark TV, Dembe FM, and KFM—stations that together employ over 100 people.
Flavia started her media career on WBS TV’s Teens Club show and later worked at Capital FM. She then joined NTV Uganda as a news anchor.
She’s married to Andrew Kabuura, who heads sports broadcasting at Next Media. The couple has three kids, including twins.
