Bobi Wine and Kizza Besigye Form an Alliance called United Forces of Change to Defeat Museveni Ahead of 2021 Polls.

The Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine and Forum for Democratic Change’s Kizza Besigye have formed an alliance known as United Forces of Change (UFC) to unseat President Museveni in the 2021 general elections. 

The alliance was launched on Monday at Floral Hotel in Wakiso.

Bobi wine noted that the negotiations have been going on for a long time and it was time now to unveil the alliance since there previous meetings have been a success.

“We have been speaking for a long period and what we are showing you now is yet another step in a right direction and this should be the message to spread to one another that we should not be enemies of one another since we have only one enemy,” Kyagulanyi noted.

Kyagulanyi added, “We as leaders our role is to show you the way and this country is bigger than all of us here the activities we are announcing can only be successful if we work hand in hand.”

The FDC four-time presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye said that the road to the formation of this alliance was not an easy one and he said this was a new chapter and he called upon all Ugandans to join hands and work together.

“This has not been an easy journey of coming together and joining hands as united forces of change. What we have done today in a new chapter in Uganda’s politics and I, therefore, call upon Ugandans to work together and join hands,” Besigye said at the presser.

While at the press conference JEEMA party president and Bugiri Municipality Member Parliament spoke on behalf of Robert Kyagulanyi and then Kampala City’s Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago Spoke on behalf, Dr Kizza Besigye.

“We must take a bull by its horn and confront the government to see that it puts in place a proper recovery plan,” Lukwago said.

The president of FDC Patrick Amuriat said this alliance will act as a liberation vehicle and he added such alliances require a lot of time and patience.

“This is something we will give to Ugandans as a liberation vehicle but such kinds of unity require patience and sacrifice and we would love to see a united opposition taking a forefront in the struggle,” Amuriat noted.

Kyagulanyi rose to the political scene in 2017 Kyadondo East by-election was he went against all the odds and won the Parliamentary seat. He after became a kingmaker in 2018 after ensuring that JEEMA’s Asuman Basalirwa wins Bugiri Municipality and Kasiano Wadri wins Arua Municipality by-election.
