Who is Caroline Marcah?

Who is Caroline Marcah? Flash Uganda Media looks at her biography, husband, tribe, TV career, relationship with MC Kats, early life and education of Caroline Marcah Mirembe.

Caroline Marcah is a presenter at Spark TV.  

Although she started shows like 21 questions and Live wire recap that used to air every Saturday the management dropped her and gave the show to new female hosts and Caroline says she is ok with it. 

She currently hosts a new show known as Trends still on Spark TV. 

Marcah is also a video vixen and she featured in Bob Wine’s Aidah song but also she is a poet, theatre artist and she is also in the field of PR.

Early life and education

Caroline Marcah Mirembe is a Rwandan who comes from Butare but she came to Uganda as a child from Rwanda but later came to Uganda and joined KCC primary school currently called Kamwokya.

Later changed joined Kitante primary school, joined Kitante secondary school and later went to Bishop SS Mukono. One of her childhood memories was when she went following the Kadodi group and got lost and failed to find her way back home.

She ended up sleeping at the chairman’s place and she was picked up in the morning by her friends.

Media career

Caroline Marcah started her media journey while still in high school and she started as an actor. She used to feature in plays at Sharing Hall Nsambya. 

She used to write poems and post them on her Facebook page during her senior two and luckily Jerry Ssesanga an actor stumbled to some of her poems. 

In her senior six vacations she started going to the National Theatre, she could sit watch plays and go home. 

After three months a gentleman called Peter Kagai one of the most famous poets in Uganda picked on carol during her chill out at National Theatre, he asked her if she would act, and carol responded that she could write poems. 

She shared her work with peter Kagai and little did she know that this would earn her an acting job. She ended up performing in several plays at National Theater. 

Carol’s breakthrough came when she was asked to be the lead character in the famous play called Betrayal in the city as the beautiful girl. 

She later featured in Aminata and more theatre plays. 

In 2017 she met with Maurine Kintu a producer of the Beat show on NTV, then it was the most famous entertainment show in Uganda and one of the best in East Africa, then the presenter was Douglas Lwanga who now works with NBS TV.  

After some time Maurine called her that NTV was screening for a new show called Live wire and it was going to air on Spark TV their sister station. 

She went through and she recalls people insulting her the first day she appeared on the screens. Carol later sat down with her producer and came up with a segment called 21 questions where they could ask celebrities about their personal life. 

She hosted a show for a while until they gave it to somebody else and she was given another show called Live wire recap that could air every Saturday but currently, she no longer hosts the show but the management brought in a new face called Flavia Mawagi. 

Early this year she was given another show called Cheza.com which was previously being hosted by MR Ssendi Mosh but of late they gave it to another presenter. When asked why she does not last on shows she says it’s ok and this shows how versatile she is.

Relationship 

Caroline Marcah has a son but she is not married but of late rumour has been making a round of how she is in a relationship with MC Kats. But Caroline says that all these allegations aren’t true but rather there just friends with Kats. 

Controversy

At the beginning of this year, it was rumoured that she had been fired from spark TV since she was not holding any show at the station. But later she went on her social media platform saying that she was going to host a new show called Trends.
