Catherine Kusasira: Pelting me with bottles won’t affect my unconditional love for Museveni, instead will bring more vote in 2021
Local Band Musician Catherine Kusasira has indicated that pelting bottles at singers who are deemed NRM diehards will only boost President Museveni as a political candidate come 2021 general elections.
In an interview with NBS UNCUT, Kusasira who is now also a presidential advisor implied that incidents characterized by throwing bottles at political opponents sum up what they will do after gaining power.
According to Kusasira such incidents will only add Museveni more years in power because he has tools (guns) but he is not using them to scare opponents like the opposition are using the bottles.
“If you attack me with bottles, then that is surely your loss. Museveni fought for peace. Imagine someone attacking you with a bottle because of your political belief. What if they were in power and had access to guns?” Kusasira questioned.

Besides, Kusasira stated that people are just jealous that others are prospering and more popular than them and as a result, they result in such habits.
She further told that people (the voters) are watching and soon they will realize they are better off with President Museveni.
“People are watching and they realize that they are better off with Museveni. This will bring Museveni more votes in 2021,” Kusasira added.

This comes following the recent incident that saw a one Ibrahim Mayanja alias Big Eye on the new year’s Eve hit with bottles and forced off stage by revellers as NBS UNCUT celebrated its first anniversary.
Other incidents over the years have happened including the one that saw Catherine Kusasira also pelted with bottles while performing at Nabugabo Sand beach in Masaka on Boxing Day last year.

In the same year 2019, another NRM diehard Full Figure also experienced the same stage torture. The same incident also happened to Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool back in 2018 when revellers hit and forced him off stage.
Earlier this year while on NBS TV morning breeze, Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze blamed President Yoweri Museveni for setting this trend arguing that he has spearheaded in stopping opposition singers from having their shows successfully.
Nambooze implied that this is what has prompted the bitter public to react in such a manner towards all musicians who are deemed die-hards of the NRM party.
“If revellers at a music show throw bottles to musicians who are known to be NRM supporters, Museveni is also sending the police to stop musicians who are pro-opposition. It’s the same thing.

“Whatever you get depends on what you give out.” She argued that “President Museveni has grown this habit of intolerance and they are now reaping what they sow,” Nambooze stated at NBS TV morning breeze.

Where it all comes from
Ever since Bobi Wine adhered to join politics, police have taken it upon themselves to block a number of his music shows implying that they lack enough manpower security to monitor the progress of his concerts.
This has not been well received by the public who have decided to act otherwise in the name of trying to seek revenge.
