Hassan Ndugga allegedly fled to South Africa after accruing debts totalling more than 50 million. In January 2022, Hassan Ndugga, who had been imprisoned in South Africa for 40 days, was eventually let out.
Nduga was detained in South Africa on accusations of having forged paperwork, which had allowed him to remain there unaided.
Speaking about his plans to go back home after being freed, he said that although he had been given 30 days to stay in South Africa, he would shortly be boarding an aircraft to do so.
In October 2022, following accusations from Ronald Alimpa‘s relatives that Hassan Ndugga stole the singer’s money when he rescued him from the scene of a car crash, musician Hassan is not happy with the singer’s family.
He narrated how when Alimpa’s family arrived at the hospital and discovered the “Seen Don” singer hospitalized, the wife opened by bemoaning how Alimpa’s money had vanished rather than offering thanks for his support and assistance.
Hassan Ndugga explained to them that once he arrived at the scene of the automobile crash, he was more concerned with preserving the lives of his fellow artists than he was with finding their stuff.
He continued by saying that while in the hospital, he even used his funds to purchase medicine for injured patients. According to reports, Hassan Nduga, the singer for Kadongo Kamu, became insane.
Hassan Ndugga was Ndugga’s Islamic name before he gave up singing and became a traditional healer. His new name is Lubaale Bamweyama.
According to reports, on January 4, Ndugga went insane, ransacked his home in Ndejje, destroyed its contents, and then swarmed Natete while subsisting on trash.

Hassan Nduga took out loans to put on performances, but Covid-19 took place. He fled to Masaka and established a shrine once moneylenders began seeking him.
Ndugga was taken into custody by police from a shrine in August 2020. Furthermore, due to overdue rent of 2 million UGX and a debt of around 30 million Uganda Shillings. Hassan Ndugga had visited a temple in the Lwego District to ask “little gods” for assistance in paying off his debts.
In May 2022, Hassan Ndugga performed at a concert, and his audience was enthralled by his performance. Hassan sang his traditional tunes in an enthralling way, and the effects were apparent. On stage, the singer’s followers could be seen giggling and shaking with apparent obsession.
Ndugga strolled about in a brown sack, and one of his male followers even performed a somersault while stretching on stage.
He wandered around, even sitting, kneeling, and placing his hands on the participants as if he were praying for them. The man is no stranger to theatrics; yet, he denied rumours that a local publisher reported that he had been possessed.
