Back in 2020, the country was put under lockdown, which left little to no cars moving on the road as most of them were parked back at home. This slowly became the new way of living and I kind of got used to it, until the lockdown was relaxed. Roads were re-opened, somehow necessitating us to park by the roadside or outside a building in town.
As of now, you can find yourself parking at Kampala CBD, requiring payment of your multiplex street parking ticket because your car has spent a good five hours parked.
The KCCA hired Multiplex Limited to manage and update street parking in Kampala City. In keeping with the new normal, Multiplex Limited has been able to digitize every part of its operations to improve efficiency.
A payment receipt will be left on your windscreen by the multiplex street personnel to provide as a reminder of the amount you need to pay.

Other ways To Pay for Your Street Parking Ticket in Uganda

First, you may visit Google Play Store or Apple App Store to download the MTN MoMo App to be able to pay for your parking ticket. The entire process is very easy and only requires you to enter your mobile money PIN when logging into the MTN MoMo App. All the transactions that follow don’t require you to input your PIN again.
The second alternative is to pay through the My Airtel App. It’s also downloadable through Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. Most Ugandans however seem to prefer the MTN MoMo App to the My Airtel App.
What we can say however is that the experiences may be different but both can allow you to pay for your street parking ticket in Uganda.
