King Michael misses out on the list as NRM invites musicians for their third delegates conference
Dancehall musician Micheal Mugwanya also commonly known as King Michael has not been included on the list of invited musicians for the forthcoming third national delegates conference for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.
A list comprising the majority of the deemed NRM musicians has been released for those invited for the January 25 delegates conference including Moses Ssali popularly known as Bebe Cool, Catherine Kusasira, Raga Dee, Jenifer Full Figure, Ibrahim Mayanja popularly known as Big Eye, Fiina, Crane Performers, among other performers across the country.
Despite the list including few unknown and forgotten musicians, King Michael who has recently been very close to the NRM party is nowhere to be seen.
According to the event’s promoter, Balaam Barugahara they considered so many factors before choosing musicians including looking at whether someone was still active in singing.
In an interview with Spark TV, Balaam explained the commission of King Micheal adding that the latter has no songs as compared to those that were called on to make the event an interesting one.
Balaam implied that they chose the best group of musicians to represent from a total of up to 2, 000 musicians affiliated to NRM party.
“Out of the 2,000 musicians affiliated to NRM, very few have been invited for party’s delegates conference. They are not the best but at least they have something (music) to show. Besides, they are the ones who can be accommodated in the allocated time.

They chose only those who have something (music) to show. What does King Michael have?” Balaam said.
Besides, he stressed that Bebe Cool led a meeting that chose the singers to attend and perform at the conference.
Balaam further said that the list was also signed by three singers including Bebe Cool, Kusasira and Full Figure.
“Bebe Cool led a meeting that chose the singers to attend/ perform at the conference. The list was signed by Bebe Cool, Kusasira and Full Figure,” said Balaam adding that he was just ordered to contact who was on the list.
“It’s only those with something to show that will attend. I was just given a list of artists and instructed to contact them,” Balaam added.
