How to download MTN Ayoba
Anyone with a smartphone can download Ayoba from the Google Play Store for Android phones or the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
What distinguishes Ayoba from other messaging apps?
Ayoba data is FREE for MTN customers. As a result, MTN users will not be charged any additional data fees to send and receive text messages, voice, video, pictures, and files within the Ayoba app.
Every month, MTN customers are each given up to 1GB of FREE Ayoba data. Upon expiry, Ayoba charges will begin to be deducted from the user’s active data bundle.
Users of Ayoba can receive SMS notifications of messages received in Ayoba when offline, and SMS messages between MTN subscribers are not charged.
Customers of Ayoba can also send and receive SMS within Ayoba from non-Ayoba users. Users in Uganda have the option of Swahili and Luganda as their language options on Ayoba in addition to English.
Am I able to make voice calls on MTN Ayoba?
Yes. On Ayoba, voice calls are possible. These will incur the same fees as regular voice calls.
Can an MTN customer use Ayoba for Mobile Money transactions?
Yes, an MTN client can send and receive Mobile Money via Ayoba. However, sending Mobile Money through Ayoba is exclusively available to MTN customers; as a result, sending Mobile Money to other networks is not permitted.
Can one send Mobile Money using Ayoba while traveling or residing in another country?
When sending Mobile Money via Ayoba, the sender and recipient must both reside in the same nation, in this case, both must be in Uganda, and they must use the same Mobile Money currency, which is the shilling in Uganda.
How to send Mobile Money through MTN Ayoba
- Visit the chats section
- Start a conversation with the recipient.
- Touch the “Attachment” icon
- Tap or choose “Money”
- Click or tap “Send MoMo“
- Enter the amount
- Hit the send button and enter your pin.
- Notifications of the transaction are sent to the sender and the receiver.
Can the same user install Ayoba on two devices?
You can only use one phone number on one device to verify your Ayoba account. Please be aware that even if your phone has two SIM cards, you must still choose just one to authenticate with Ayoba.
