Andrew Mukasa of Bajjo Events Arrested

Mr Andrew Mukasa, proprietor of Bajjo Events and Marketing Agency Limited, his whereabouts still hangs in balance.

Mukasa was on Saturday harassed and taken to unknown detention facility by armed security men in a van Reg. No. UAT 511C, while officiating a press conference at Centenary Park.

Its reported that the police officers who kidnapped Mukasa were dressed in a security uniform resembling that of president’s guards, the Special Forces Command (SFC).

While the other team involved in the kidnap were dressed in ordinary clothes. However, Special Forces Command (SFC) and Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) denied the allegations.

According to Major Omara, the SFC Spokesperson the claim was malicious and urged the public to trash Mr Mukasa’s SFC kidnap accusations.

There is some news making rounds on social media about an alleged arrest of Mr Andrew Mukasa, a music promoter. SFC has not carried out any operation in regard to what is being peddled. This is baseless and malicious. Please ignore it with the utmost contempt it deserves.

While Defence Ministry spokesperson, Brigadier Richard Karemire, said he was not aware of the exercise that took place.

Mukasa was addressing a press conference to declare a marathon aimed at raising funds for Robert Kyagulanyi stage name Bobi Wine also the People Power Movement leader together with his colleague Mr Abbey Musinguzi proprietor of Abetex Promotions.

New reports state that the car that took away Mukasa, its number plate is related to the one on the vehicle that took Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeeyi, Deputy Inspector General of Police to parliament in March 2018 at the time he went for vetting.

Clarifications made by the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) indicates that the Muzeeyi’s Toyota Land Cruiser number plate is owned by Abudallah Trading Company, Toyota Spacio car.

Many people have been kidnapped and security officers cited in the move.

These include; Andrew Felix Kaweesi, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, his suspected assassinators were kidnapped shortly after Court released them on bail at Nakawa Road Junction a Kampala suburb.

Another scene of event happened still in Kampala near Christ the King Church that involved Yusuf Kawooya, a member of Uganda Young Democrats an Opposition political party.
