Standard Chartered Bank, recently teamed up with MTN Uganda to establish a mobile wallet service to facilitate transactions between the bank and MTN Mobile Money.
You can now transfer money from your bank to your mobile money account with absolute ease.
Also, there are options available for you to choose from should you need to transfer your money. They involve using the SC Mobile App and online banking.
This, therefore, means you must download the SC Mobile App, or register for online banking. Additionally, a registered MTN Mobile Number must have been entered as a receiver.

For the SC Mobile App ( How to add a registered mobile number)
For both online banking and through the SC Mobile App, you’ll need to add a registered mobile number and here’s how
- To add the required registered Mobile money number to transfer funds, click “Add biller” under the main Menu.
- You can then Transfer money from your bank account to any MTN mobile money number registered
For Online Banking (How to add a registered mobile number)
- Click “add biller” under My Dashboard.
- Go to Payments and enter the desired registered Mobile money number to send money.

Using the SC Mobile App
- Use the SC Mobile app to log in.
- From the menu, choose Payments.
- Click on Bill Payment.
- Choose Biller under the Saved Biller option.
- Choose an account.
- Enter the desired amount and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Using online banking/ Standard Chartered Bank website
- Visit the website of Standard Chartered Bank Uganda.
- Enter your login information by clicking Login.
- Click “Pay Bills” after selecting Payments.
- When a list of stored billers appears, select Pay.
- Decide on the Account number.
- To finish the transaction, enter the amount and follow the instructions.
