The self-proclaimed smallest rapper says his family wanted him to become a lawyer but music overpowered him. He said if he wasn’t a musician he would have been a radio personality.

He nevertheless, confessed that he enrolled at Makerere University but never did he step foot at the institution although he used to lie to his parents that he was an evening student of Journalism and Mass Communication.

He alternatively spent that time in studios around Makindye recording songs and working on his music career.

Why the name Feffe Bussi?

The name Feffe Bussi started way back when he was still a little boy. As there are certain words that children find difficulties to pronounce, accordingly instead of him saying raw jackfruit, he called it feffe Bussi. [In his childhood Feffe Bussi called Jackfruit as ‘feffe’ instead of ‘fene’ and raw as ‘bussi’ instead of ‘mubisi’].

Feffe Bussi stuck as his nickname for long and therefore when he opted for music, he decided to take it as his stage name.

Music career

Feffe Bussi is a Ugandan Hip-hop musician who has been in the music industry for close to seven years. He developed a passion and realized that he could do music in Form Five when he started mimicking G.N.L Zamba’s songs.

His hit-song ‘Nsekula’ featuring already established Ugandan recording artist, dancer and actress Sheebah Karungi from Team No Sleep.

Controversies

#1. Feffe Bussi attacks Gravity Omutujju

The controversial artwork and cryptic caption of Gravity Omutujju’s Wakulemye track which featured photos of rappers Feffe Bussi, Navio, Fik Fameica, GNL Zamba, Rocky Giant, Victor Kamenyo and Da Agent wearing diapers got many talking.

Feffe Bussi in response took it to his Instagram page where he posted a photo of himself writing supposedly lyrics with a goat standing by “Someone is going to cry. Watch the space.”

#2. Gashumba denies funding Feffe Bussi’ Who is Who song

One of the local tabloids reported that Frank Gashumba was not happy with the song Who is Who because it mentions his daughter Sheila Gashumba

However, Gashumba dismissed reports that he had paid rapper Feffe Bussi to re-do the song.

“I don’t even know him. Who is he? It’s unbelievable because first of all I don’t know that person and I don’t recall ever funding for a song in the last five years. Some individuals want to ride on people’s names but I don’t know that person and neither do I know that name,” Gashumba said in a phone interview.
