As the whole world has joined to mourn tens of Ugandans who drowned at Lake Victoria, Uganda has continued to live in fear after reports that the number of people who drowned and died may rise to 100 people.

This website has learnt that over 120 people boarded this boat to join the rest of revelers to open Mutima country haven resort that had just been converted to a triangle center and morgue for people to have fun and the police force with the help of locals, and the army have only succeeded in saving at least 26 Ugandans who were on this boat and has already confirmed that 30 people died on the spot and their bodies have been transported to Mulago Mortuary in Kampala. Among the people that were rescued is Prince Wassaja, Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II’s brother, singer Iryn Namubiru, city tycoons Kiyimba Freeman and Hope Mukasa who are currently receiving specialized treatment.
According to Afande Emilian Kayima, the Uganda Police spokesperson has confirmed that the police is still trying to rescue the ones alive and he is scared that the number of the dead may rise to 100 since the actual number of people who were on the boat hasn’t been confirmed.
Among the people who didn’t survive this tragedy include fashion designer Chuck Salvatore, Derrick Owekyo who was trying to rescue others who didn’t know how to swim, Sheilla Mbonimpa among several others.
