#Muhangi and Salvado address beef rumours.
Muhangi and Patrick Salvado Idiringi beef rumours stoked after Salvado started a weekly comedy night dubbed Just Comedy which many industry observers in Uganda interpreted as a move to directly compete with Muhangi’s Comedy store which is also a weekly show at UMA.
Muhangi and Salvado have continued clashing where they both staged their shows on the same dates. Patrick Salvado Idiringi will hold his Africa Laughs show at Kololo Independence grounds on Valentine’s Day while Alex Muhangi at Mestil Hotel where he will host Nigerian singer Rude Boy.
However, the two brothers in the same game insisted that there is no bad blood between them.
“I and Salvado don’t fight. It’s simply two people doing the same business,” said Alex Muhangi.
“There are factors you look at before deciding on the dates of a show, these include venue and target audience among others. So about Valentine’s Day is happening on Friday. This is a good a day to hold a show because many people will be looking for where to go,” said Salvado.
“So two comedians holding their shows on the same day, it doesn’t been we are fighting each but it’s only about the preferences.”
#Comedy Store revolutionalised Uganda’s entertainment.
Muhangi’s weekly Comedy Store show is the biggest entertainment event in Uganda whereby fans from all corners of life looked forward to it from as early as Monday. The show happens every Thursday at UMA Lugogo in Kampala.
The show started in a period when fans were faded up with the repeated jokes and there was no home for comedy following the collapse of Laftaz bar in Centenary Park.
Comedy store Uganda has given a lifeline to all faded musicians to shine again for example Clever J who is now backing to business. Besides the show being held at UMA Lugogo, it is also aired on NTV Uganda, one of the biggest Television station.
