The musician turned politician Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has unveiled 11 member Electoral Commission team ahead of 2021 polls.

The musician turned politician Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine of the Kyadondo East Constituency on Tuesday announced an 11 member team that will manage the People Power Movement electoral commission as we head for 2021 elections.

At their Kamwokya based Headquarter, Bobi wine told the members yesterday that the task ahead wasn’t easy at all. Wine also thanked the members of the People Power Movement who had offered themselves and went ahead to state how Uganda’s problem is bad leadership

“Comrades as we welcome you, I wanted first and foremost to let you know that were are in a charged mood. I want to thank the comrades that have offered themselves for this task. It is not an easy task at all. I have said this before and I repeat it that we are leaders to serve and not to boast around. People Power is the power of the people. We have said it before, we retaliate it had the problem of Uganda is bad governance. It is leadership. Therefore, we are here to solve this problem by offering servant leadership,” Bobiwine said.

Kyagulanyi added that they have the opportunity as the People power movement to change the leadership of the country and that they’re going to liberate the country using peaceful means.

“We believe that opportunity we have in 2021 is to change the leadership of our country; to liberate our country using peaceful means. And we have not lost our way. We have not been diverted and we are not going to be diverted,” Kyagulanyi added.

The newly unveiled team is led by Ms Mercy Walukamba, Mr Jeremiah Keeya Mwanje (secretary) Mr Lubega Mukaku (Vice-chairman), Mr Brace Asiimwe, Mr John Mary Ssebuufu and Mr Gerald Oyek.

Others members include; Ms Margret Rujumba, Mr Halice Akampulira, Mr Peter Maiso and Mr Musa Misango.

“This team will be in charge of overseeing and organizing all election processes in this pressure group and they will also be expected to bring as many people as they can in the group,” Bobiwine said.

At the same event, Bobi wine also unveiled an organizing and coordination committee which will help to re-enforce the big team that was unveiled in 2018. 

This coordination team is led by Mr Sulaiman Kidandala, Ms Julian Kabagambe, Mr Kennedy Ouma, Ms Faradiha Nabatanzi and Mr Jimmy Oluka.
