
Bobi Wine warns Police, I will take another course of action if you continue blocking his consultative meetings
Bobi Wine warns Police – The Kyadondo East legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has vowed to take another course of action if at all Police continues intercepting his consultative meetings.
In a media briefing at People Power offices yesterday in Kampala, Bobi Wine said police have deliberately continued to block his consultative meetings despite being loyal to their directives and obtaining permission from the Electoral Commission (EC) to start his consultative meetings ahead of the 2021 presidential elections.
This is the second time Police is attempting to block Bobi Wine’s consultative meetings. In January Police intercepted Bobi Wine’s first set of consultative meetings under claims that he did not fulfil the requirements of the Public Order Management Act.
“I have been law-abiding but if they keep pushing us hard on the wall, we shall defy,” Bobi Wine said.

Bobi Wine’s remarks follow his blocked consultative meeting scheduled to take place at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Rubaga, Kampala. Police say they blocked Bobi Wine’s meeting because he failed to meet the agreed procedures.
This is the second time Police is attempting to block Bobi Wine’s consultative meetings.

In January Police intercepted Bobi Wine’s first set of consultative meetings under claims that he did not fulfil the requirements of the Public Order Management Act.
Relatedly, Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga has disregarded claims by Bobi Wine that the late youthful Ritah Nabukenya a People Power supporter was knocked down by a police patrol vehicle.
Enanga in a statement released on Tuesday 25th /2020, said that the late Nabukenya died as a result of a boda boda accident, contrary to Bobi Wine’s report.
He said Nabukenya was not donned in red attire related to Bobi Wine’s pressure group as claimed.

Enanga further said Bobi Wine’s accusations against Police is an attempt to cover up the fact that Nabukenya died from crash injuries resulting from a double boda boda accident attached to his pressure group.
“As always, we work to conduct thorough investigations and will not be diverted from the major investigation,” Enanga said.

Meanwhile, Enanga said the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident continues including tracking the two boda boda cyclists and to find the motorcycles.
