Chosen Becky is a young talented female singing and recording artist who is well known for her Bankuza song that rocked the airwaves in late 2018 and 2019.
Becky hails from Masaka and one can say her career has been full of luck since her first recording turned out to be a hit and she attributes all this to her former management Nick productions and Victor Kamenyo who was her former manager.
She is also known for her singles such as Byabangi, tokyuka, kapyata, Nesimye and many more but she has failed to come up with a single that outshines Bankuza which still sounds like her third name.
Early life and education
Chosen Becky real name Kukiriza Rebecca was born in the mid-90s. She comes from a Christian family. Her dad is a pastor while her mother is a born again Christian.
She went to Nyendo primary school and then she joined St Anthony Kayunga for her secondary school before joining St Gerald’s where she completed her from four.
After her senior four, she didn’t get a chance to join A level because her mother had run out of finances. She then left for Masaka with one Mr Kyanja who gave her a first job of packing petroleum jelly in Mpigi.
Music career
According to Chosen Becky, she realized that she could sing when she was 13 years old in her primary seven.
Her sister Dona was very good at singing and was well known so when she completed her primary there was no replacement and the trainer looked for her because she was Dona’s young sister.
She was taught how to sing and by the time she left P7, she could sing. After her senior four, she had got a job in Masaka and the proprietor of NIK cosmetics Mr Joseph Kiwangwaa was doing a drive of his cosmetics in Masaka.
They made a stopover and said whoever composes a song about their Vaseline was a gig to be given a tin of Vaseline. Becky impressed and Mr Joseph told her that he was going to make it his goal in promoting Chosen Becky.
However, the only challenge was with her mother who was a staunch Christian and she first refused but Joseph convinced her and even told her that he going to employ her daughter in her company.
When she teamed up with the management of NIK production that brought her to Kampala and started staying in Masajja where through the efforts of Mr Joseph she was taken to producer Nessim’s studios to record her first single Bankuza.
Bakuza was written by Nice Henry and after its release, it topped most of the chats and it’s during this time that the management decided to bring on Kamenyo to become her official manager.
At the end of 2019, Bankuza had topped most of the chats and because of this milestone, the management of NIK production decided to organize for her a first concert which was a success although she only had two songs titled Bankuza and byabangi.
In 2019 Chosen Becky quit the management of NIK production and she officially joined the management of David Lutalo where got a chance to record in David Lutalo’s studios and he even went ahead to write for her a song.
Before quitting NIK production Victor Kamenyo accused Chosen of being a traitor and not being patient. She later also quit the management of David Lutalo over unclear circumstances.
Becky has released several good songs but she has failed to come up with one single that outshines Bakunza.

Relationship
Chosen Becky is a mother of two and she gave birth to her first son when she was 16 years.
She went ahead and disclosed that she fell in love with one Jjagwe Ronald who was a photographer at her tender age who turned out to be the father of her first child.
Last year she gave birth to her second child with a blogger known as Amir Mutebi alias Dictator Amir.
Controversy
When Chosen Becky was expecting her second child, a debate broke out of who was the father of her child and it was rumoured that she was dating two gentlemen including one comedian called Maluana and a blogger called Amir.
But after giving birth she confirmed that Amir a blogger was the rightful father of her child.
When she hit the limelight in 2019, with her title single Bankuza people thought she was innocent and had not given birth to any child but in 2020 a one JJagwe Ronald came out openly saying that Chosen and her family had stopped her from seeing his child he had with Becky.
Ronald hit the media and he brought Chosen to her knees and Jjagwe was allowed to see his child.
When she quit NIK production her former manager Victor Kamenyo and accused her of being impatient and being a traitor. After leaving NIK she officially joined the management of David Lutalo but she didn’t stay long in the group and decided to go solo.
