Dagy Nyce is a presenter at NTV The Beat and at the same time, he hosts the DJ mix show that airs every Friday on NTV together with Etania.
Nyce is among Uganda’s best Mcs and he started as a field presenter for corporate companies that were carrying promotions. He worked for companies such as Airtel, MTN, DSTV and many more.
Dagy started his TV career at Spark TV but later joined Xpozed with the help of JK Kazoora and he was hosting the show with Edwin Katamba aka MC Kats who taught him how TV works.
After Douglas left the Beat, the management decided to give the show to him and one can say that this was his breakthrough. Dagy Nyce is married to an Australian lady called Ssuubi and they have a child together although they are in a long-distance relationship.
Early life and education
Dagy Nyce birth name Ngobi Isubukalu Douglas was born to the family of Mr Peter Ngobi and Mrs Sarah Ngobi.
His father works for an insurance company while his mother is a pastor and vice president of Women of Vision Int. ministries in LA califonia.
But currently, she is called Pastor Sarah Morgan because of her new husband’s name. This came after she divorced his father and got another husband called peter Morgan and there married.
Nyce started his education journey at Vincent Alex kindergarten then he joined Mwiri Primary school in Jinja for his secondary he joined Busoga college Mwiri, Crested SSS in Makindye and then Makerere university.
Media career
Dagy Nyce started in 2014 as an Airtel field presenter and in 2015 he was given another contract still by Airtel.
Later he was allowed to start hosting Xpozed on NTV together with MC Kats and according to him, Kats taught him a lot about TV and another person was David J Kazoora.
When Spark TV started he was allowed to host a music show there but didn’t do it for long because he got another opportunity of joining NTV The Beat and this was after Douglas Lwanga quitting the station. He auditioned and he came out as a winner and he started hosting the show together with Tracy K.
Currently, he is still the host of NTV The Beat a music show that airs from Monday to Friday on NTV and his co-hosts with the beautiful Lynda Ddane.
He also hosts a Friday mix show together with DJ Brian.
Dagy Nyce is among the best club MCs Uganda has got and has mastered the art of bringing the house down every moment he grabs the mic no wonder he is among the club MCs Club Govnor.
But before joining TV Daggy had pursued a radio career but it was very short.

Why the name ”DAGY NYCE”
Dagy Nyce back in the day was inspired by Jose Chameleon and he used to hang around him. He would send him for anything and Daggy would do it without question.
In 2013 during the Badilisha concert, Chameleon had white sneakers but they had rained heavily yet he had to step on the stage looking elegant. Daggy ran out grabbed two polythene bags and asked him to wrap them around his shoes.
It was at this moment that his manager Sam Mukasa said “you’re so nice man” and chameleon added “That’s my Daggy nice,” from then he adopted the name.
Relationship
Of late Dagy Nyce is married to Heather Ssuubi, an Australian beautiful lady and together they have a beautiful daughter called Emma Gin Ssuubi.
They met in 2013 at King Fisher resort in Jinja and they got engaged. Their wedding was in September 2015 and chameleon was his best man.
