Herbert Kabafunzaki was born on 9th December 1975 in Rwamucucu sub-county, in Rukiga County, Rukiga District, in the Western part of Uganda.
Kabafunzaki attended Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) Nkozi where he obtained a bachelor of Ethics and Development Studies, a Masters’s in Business Administration from Makerere University and a Law Development Center where he obtained a Diploma in law.
Politics
Herbert Kabafunzaki is a Ugandan politician who joined active politics in 2011. He was elected as the Wakiso District Local Council representing Makindye A Zone’s current Ssabagabo Zone from 2011 till 2016.
However, he was arrested for collecting a bribe of five million Uganda Shillings from Aya Group Uganda CEO.
Then in 2016, Kabafunzaki got elected as the Member of Parliament representing Rubanda County, Rukiga District.
Besides politics, Kabafunzaki served as a Clearing and Forwarding Agent soon after graduating from UMU, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berteen Business Systems, Uganda, and as the national delegate of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations, the ruling soccer body in Uganda.

He was convicted of soliciting a bribe of 5million Shillings from Hamid Muhammed, the chairperson of Aya Group of Companies as an inducement to clear him of sexual abuse allegations by his former employee Jamila Opondo on April 6 and 8, 2017.
The Police arrested Kabafunzaki red-handed with the money together with his former political assistant, Brian Mugabo and an interior designer, Bruce Lubowa at Serena hotel.
He has worked on several projects after his release from prison that includes churches, schools, hospitals for Ugandans.
