Uganda’s First-ever Social media FestUg attracted more internet junkies as artists also beautified the event with remarkable performances.

Social media FestUg as Uganda’s first-ever event was flocked by revellers at the Silver springs Bugoloobi as the fans were treated to a one-day social media extravaganza exclusively organized for internet consumers and junkies last night in Kampala.

The Fest has been a magnet for all types of internet clients, such as bloggers, digital marketing agencies, influencers, personalities and media, who have come together for a myriad of fun and unique engagements, with the first half of the day is an interactive learning experience at the silent session with topics relating to ICT, branding on social media, internet and much more being discussed.

“Am happy knowing that every one of us here now knows that they can use social media to make money through the discussions and other different social engagements we have here today. You should watch out for our next edition and I promise you will be bigger and better,” mentioned

The house was then brought down with a cheerful live performance by Michael Kitanda, who adorned the event with many of the revellers finally giving their phones a break to share it on the dance floor with a saxophone maestro who never disappoints his audience.

Social Media FestUg is an event that everyone will live to remember because it featured a thrilling line-up of the city’s top artists such as Allan Tonix and Ragga Dee.

Allan Tonix had it nonstop with his top hits like Romance, Yenze, Sunday, Beera nange and Falling, and Fille Mutoni, who followed the stage with blazing performance, leaving revellers musically contented long after she was done.

Tusker Brand representative Cathy Twesigye said staging an event of that kind was the only appropriate way to celebrate and perhaps give back to their fans.

“As Tusker lite, the event was spending time with our consumers more so those social media users. These are the only key to opening the doors to our vibrant lifestyle and what better way to thank them for their support than to celebrate them through this social media fest,” Cathy

Social Media FestUg is an annual event aimed at streamlining the social media industry towards operational and professional communication between users, but at the same time at increasing awareness and promoting digital marketing.

The fest also intensifies an impactful usage of social media through interaction with end-users.
