The police have isolated the home of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) and his One Love Beach following the directives of Inspector General of Police.

The MP wrote to the police seeing for clearance of his independence Concert “Osobola” which the police didn’t grant him according to the reviews made by the Inspector General of Police Mr Okoth Ochola.

In the letter released to Kampala metropolitan police, Mr Okoth Ochola said kyagulanyi didn’t consider the plans for traffic control, medical care, crowd control and security.

Part of the letter reads,

“This serves to inform you that the notice to Inspector General of Police has remarkable deficiencies, which do not guarantee the lawfulness, safety, security for the public and organizers,”

Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman while quoting Okoth ochola’s letter said the police in Kampala won’t be in a position to provide adequate security since police officers will be at the Independence Day celebrations in Sironko and other authorized venues.

Bobi wine and other fellow artists have been rehearsing in preparations of his independence concert dubbed “osobola independence concert” scheduled today 9th Oct 2019 at his One Love Beach in Busabala, Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality in Wakiso District.

Hon kyagulanyi told the public this morning through social media that his home in Magere is yet under police and military siege.

“At about 11:00 pm last night, they surrounded my home in Magere as well as One Love Beach in Busabala, in another move to place me under house arrest and block our independence Day music concert. “ 156th concert so far! For singing truth to power, I can’t perform in my own country. He said.

Hon kyagulanyi also claims that the president is a coward and he has described the police’s actions as working on the tunes of the regime.

“These cowardly actions must be resisted and condemned by all democratic forces. President Museveni has been attending concerts of his praise singers. The greatest level of hypocrisy is to say that when you sing praises for his dictatorship on stage, you’re not doing politics and when you oppose his regime of blood and national shame, then you’re doing politics and your concert will be blocked with impunity.” Bobi wine added.

This is not the first time the police is stopping Bobi Wine from attending his concerts organized by him and other events organizers, the organizers also complain that they lose a lot of money whenever Bobi Wine’s concerts are blocked.
