Jessica Kayanja is a Ugandan Pastor, mother and wife. She is the founder and President of the renowned Girl Power Ministries International, a women’s organization whose vision is to empower women and girls holistically.
The organization hosts the largest annual women’s event in Uganda which has been in existence for the last ten years.
The organization’s distinctiveness lies in its diverse inter-denominational composition. It recognizes that women were uniquely fashioned by God to play a complementary role rather than a competitive role alongside men to achieve the greater good of society.

Pastor Jessica Kayanja takes care of homeless orphans, street children, rehabilitation of commercial s#x workers, female prison inmates, and victims of rape and domestic violence.
These include; Kapeeka orphanage, Never Again and Miracle House of Hope rehabilitation homes.
Pastor Jessica Kayanja is the author of “Through it All” and “Girl Power” among other books. She’s a public speaker and as an international speaker, she has spoken to various multitudes of people in Africa, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Jessica Kayanja is the CEO of Robert Kayanja Ministries and together with her husband they Pastor Miracle Center Cathedral Rubaga, one of the largest churches in Uganda.
Jessica is a Director at the Channel 44 Television Station she and her husband Kayanja owns and has been a guest on studio 53 and Africa Magic DSTV a program that highlights influential people in Africa.
Pastor Jessica once launched the first-ever Professional Women’s Forum with more than five thousand women in attendance purposely to offer the women professionals a platform to sharpen and improve each other.
And also to improve the level of professionalism and service delivery in the nation
Further, the project provided advisory and practical professional support to the government and any other organization. It provided opportunities for training and career development for professional women.
This event was graced by Uganda’s Prominent Ladies including the First Lady of the Republic of Uganda, Maama Janet Museveni, The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, The Commissioner General of Uganda Revenue Authority, The Executive Director of PPDA, Team Leader JLOS and The Deputy General Inspector of Police to mention but a few.
Pastor Jessica runs a weekly women’s Prayer Clinic every Saturday morning that she has termed a “Women’s War Zone” where women present their concerns to the Almighty God. The Women war within the confines of the Word of God.
Pastor Jessica Kayanja holds a degree in International Relations from Makerere University Kampala.
Honorary Doctorate in Humanities (Honoris Causa) from the United Graduate College and Seminary for pioneering Economic Empowerment of Women in Self-help projects like Girl Power.
A degree in Theology Honors’ in the Category of Distinction from the Heartfelt Institute of Ministry in Zimbabwe
Pastor Jessica Kayanja is married to Pastor Robert Kayanja, a prominent gospel preacher internationally and together they have three lovely children, Robert Jr Kayanja and twins Kirstein Kayanja and Kristiana Kayanja.
