Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga aka SK Mbuga is a Ugandan socialite, businessman and Philanthropist. SK Mbuga rose to fame after hooking up with his ex-girlfriend musician Leila Kayondo.
Kayondo unveiled SK Mbuga to the limelight because they used to attend bars, clubs and concerts together something that presented his exposure.
Nevertheless, the two fell out following claims of physical abuse. Kayondo one time pushed SK Mbuga behind bars over physical abuse. The breakup did not affect his social life for he continued to live a luxurious lifestyle.
SK Mbuga splashed money and paraded luxurious cars that include; Rolls Royce Ghost, Range Rover Sport, Hummer, Mercedes Benz, BMW X6, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Audi among others all with personalized number plates.
This kind of lifestyle made him stand out in Uganda.
Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga alias SK Mbuga was born in February 14, 1983, in Kimanya, Masaka District currently Masaka City to Hajji Suleiman Mbuga. Mbuga claims he doesn’t know some of his siblings because he comes from a polygamous family.
Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga was incarcerated for almost two years in a Swedish prison.
He was imprisoned for allegedly conniving with Vivienne Chebet Mbuga his wife and swindled 53 million Swedish Krona (about 23billion Uganda Shillings) from Vivienne’s ex-boyfriend Sten Heinsoo, a Swedish national in 2017.
Later, Sulaiman Kabangala Mbuga was released in 2019, after spending one year and nine-month in jail. This comes after a Swedish prosecutor failed to give satisfactory evidence before court pinning SK Mbuga for the fraud-related crimes.
SK Mbuga was arrested in Dubai in February 2018 by the International Police (Interpol) and spent almost a year in a Dubai prison, Al Awiir Central Prison without court trials.
Later, SK Mbuga was extradited to Sweden via Denmark where he was tried and released after failing to prove him guilty of the alleged crimes.
SK Mbuga is constructing a hospital named Nushiffa Hospital worthy $4m in Kabalagala, a Kampala City suburb to give first-class medical services in Uganda.
According to SK Mbuga, the hospital project is purposely to reduce frequent travel abroad to access better medical services. The hospital project came to a standstill the time SK Mbuga was serving his jail term and after his release, the construction process resumed.
SK Mbuga is also the proprietor of STV, a television station based in Uganda and SK Mbuga Foundation, a home for underprivileged children in Uganda.
SK Mbuga is married to Vivienne Chebet and together they have a daughter. The two got married in 2016 in a lavish marriage ceremony.
