Miss International is a Japanese-based international beauty pageant organized by The International Culture Association. The pageant was first held in 1960.
Mariem Velazco of Venezuela crowned her successor Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand by the end of the event. Leearamwat makes history as the first-ever Miss International titleholder from Thailand.
This year’s contest comprised contestants from 83 countries and territories surpassing that of 2018 where only 77 turned out.
However, just as it was in 2018, contestants were still classified under five continents namely; Europe, Oceania, Africa, Americas, and Asia.
Participants competed under different sections including National Costume, Swimwear, and Evening Gown and through this, they were eliminated up to the last eight (8) contestants.
Meanwhile, from the last 8 downwards up to the winner, they were chosen through a quiz task, question and answer basis.
