2019 CECAFA U-20 Championship: KCCA FC assistant coach Morley Byekwaso Summons 30 players for CECAFA championships
KCCA FC assistant coach Morley Byekwaso has been assigned to coach the national U-20 team for the CECAFA championships that will be hosted by Uganda starting September 21st to 5th October this year.
Byekwaso will be assisted by the Under 17 coach Hamza Lutalo and Stephen Kiggundu as the goalkeeping coach.
The 2019 CECEFA U-20 Challenge Cup will take place from 21 September – 5 October 2019 in Uganda. It was originally expected to take place on January 2019.
Meanwhile, FUFA also released a list of 30 players from which Byekwaso will choose final participants for the championships.
The core of the team is built on the triumphant team that qualified for AFCON U-17 in Tanzania.

The team that will be led by Morley Byekwaso is currently training at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru as they await to kick start the tournament.
The CECAFA team led by long-serving general secretary Nicholas Musonye will soon arrive in the country to inspect the proposed facilities in Gulu, Kampala, and Buganda that will be used for the championship.
Pece Stadium (Gulu), StarTimes Stadium Lugogo (Kampala) and the Buikwe based FUFA Technical Center (Buganda) is the proposed playgrounds that will be used.
