Cranes Coach Desabre assures Ugandans on Senegal win

While addressing the media on a pre-match press conference at Cairo International stadium, Uganda Cranes coach Sebastien Desabre claimed that his side is focused to come in full gear for their encounter with Senegal on Friday 5th July.

According to Desabre, his side is positive and will play the same way they did in their group stage games against DR Congo and Egypt.

“We are focused to come strongly against Senegal. Like we played against DR Congo & Egypt, the team is coherent and positive. We trained well on Wednesday & shall conduct the final session,” said Desabre.

“The team is motivated to play at this stage. All the players are set,” added Desabre.

Cranes coach Desabre also praised his team’s new discovered entertaining talent in Abdu Lumala stating that he has good defensive and offensive qualities.

“I discovered him when I met him in Marc but not expecting to be selected for National duty. He has defensive and offensive abilities. He is good to play on either wing as a way of opening up opportunities for new players,” he said.

Uganda will play Senegal tomorrow at Cairo International Stadium in the first stage of the knock out stage.

Cranes will be looking to win this encounter knowing that it is the only way they can prolong their stay in this year’s campaign.

The winner of this match will play Morocco and Benin in the quarter-final stage of the tournament on July 10th.
