After many years as a Capital FM presenter, Flavia Tumusiime announced she would be leaving the station effective September 1.
Renowned radio presenter Flavia Tumusiime has announced she will be quitting Capital FM effective September 01st following years of working at the station.
In a statement waving good to her employers and followers, Tumusiime said the time has come for her to stretch her potential into doing other things.
“Tomorrow 31st August will be my final show at CAPITAL FM for the mid morning show. It has been a life and career changing experience for me since 2006. They took a teenager with excitement and passion and empowered me to be the best,” she said.
She, however, commended the management of Capital radio for the patience, guidance and tremendous support they have extended to her over the years.
“Allow the humble brag that we pulled the best English midmorning show in the country consistently all these years. Bravo! To my best friends and companions on the show, the LISTENER, I’m lost for words.”
“Thank you for accepting me and connecting with me for so long and allowing me to grow over the years. This is the end of the road for me on the midmorning show BUT certainly not the end for me Capital FM Uganda. I’ll be back in another capacity sooner than you think,” Tumusiime added.
Who is Flavia Tumusiime
Largely known as a Ugandan radio and TV host, actress, voice-over artist and emcee, Flavia Tumusiime was born in 1988 in Kampala.
She has been a media presenter since her teenage years starting at WBS TV’s teen’s club. Her acting started with Kiwani and later got a lead role in Beneath The Lies where she played the lead role of Kamali Tenywa something that elevated her as an actress.
She attended St Theresa Kisubi for her Primary Leaving Examinations before she joined Kitante Hill Secondary School where she received both the UCE and UACE Certificates for both Ordinary and Advanced education.
Flavia currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business which he attained at the Makerere University Business School (MUBs).
She is married to fellow journalist Andrew Kabuura a Ugandan Sports media personality with the Next Media Group and Supersport on DSTV. He is also a commentator on Ugandan football.
