Sheila came to light when she was anchoring the news at NTV, this coupled with her boldness and special looks made the public to pick interest in her program.
Of recent, Sheila who appeared to be off the mark has been pursuing a Masters Degree at Cardiff University, the UK in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management under the Chevening Scholarship program.
She attained the scholarship which forced her to temporarily suspended working with Nation Media Group to first finish on the master’s course.
Why NTV reporters keep joining NBS
Sheila is not the first and might not be the last NTV worker to join the Kamwokya based station.
In recent years, NBS TV has found it quite very easy to recruit various personalities from top competitor NTV.
Sheila now joins colleagues like Solomon Serwanja, Douglas Lwanga, Hatma Nalugwa Sekaya, Raymond Mujuni and MC Kats who have also crossed over to NBS.
Rukh-Shana Namuyimbwa, Wisdom Kiyonga, Dean Lubowa Savva and Sheila Tusiime Mugisha are the others.
Sheila studied Business Administration at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) but due to reasons unknown, she found herself doing journalism work.
She started as a reporter for the Daily Monitor. While at Monitor, an affiliate station to NTV Uganda, she was sent to the Nation Media Lab in Nairobi, Kenya, for a nine-month training in print, radio and TV journalism.
Upon her return from Nairobi, she worked for a few weeks at the Daily Monitor and later joined NTV Uganda in March 2014.
