Chelsea News – N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante is still sidelined with an injury and remains a major doubt for matches against Valencia and Liverpool next week.

“I don’t want to jump the gun because we’re waiting for improvement to fill that final step to get him to where we want him to be on the pitch again,” Lampard said. “But hopefully that will be in a week or so.”

N’Golo Kante missed both of France’s fixtures during the international break with an ankle injury and a return against Wolves is “too soon”, manager Frank Lampard confirmed on Friday.

Chelsea plays Valencia in their opening Champions League match on Tuesday, before hosting Liverpool next Sunday.

Mateo Kovacic (Achilles) and Pedro (hamstring) are fit to play against Wolves, while Antonio Rudiger will be available after recovering from a knee injury that ended last season prematurely for the defender.

Meanwhile, Hudson-Odoi, James Recce played with the U23s yesterday as they claimed a 2-1win over Brighton U23 side.

Callum Hudson-Odoi played 60 minutes while Reece James played 40 minutes of the game with the former registering one assist.

Chelsea has conceded nine goals in their four Premier League matches this season, with only Norwich having a worse record.

Arsenal has been handed a big boost regarding the fitness levels of four of their players ahead of their Premier League clash against Watford this weekend.

Ahead of the game, Unai Emery and Co have been handed a boost regarding the fitness levels of four of their first-team players.

As per the club’s official website, all of Kieran Tierney, Hector Beilein, Rob Holding and Dinos Mavropanos have all returned to full training, whilst Alexandre Lacazette has picked up an ankle injury that’ll keep him out until October.

The Gunners are set to travel to Vicarage Road on Saturday to take on Quique Sanchez Flores’ side, as they look to get back to winning ways in the league following their 2-2 draw vs Spurs before the international break.

Arsenal’s opponents, Watford, are yet to win a game this season, with the Hornets losing three of their opening four games, drawing the other one, a string of results that lead to the club sacking Javi Gracia earlier this month.

Naby Keita is nearing a return to full training, JĂĽrgen Klopp has confirmed.

The midfielder sustained a hip injury ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final against Chelsea in Istanbul last month and has missed the Reds’ last three matches.

Keita will also sit out the forthcoming fixtures with Newcastle United and Napoli, however, Klopp expects to have him available for training following the trip to Italy.

Elsewhere, the manager offered the latest on Alisson Becker’s rehabilitation from a calf injury, confirming Liverpool will continue to assess the goalkeeper’s recovery daily.

Klopp told his pre-Newcastle press conference, beginning with Alisson: “Funnily enough, we had lunch together just now, he looks good and he is improving, but we cannot put any pressure on it.

“It was a really serious injury in the calf. It is now much better, of course, and that’s good for us and good for him, but we don’t know exactly how long it will be,” he added.

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed in a press conference yesterday that three players in Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are all set to miss Leicester clash.

United’s manager also revealed that the extent of the injury crisis that had struck the Reds during the international break that has seen a number of his players ruled out.

Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jesse Lingard are both other doubts leaving Solskjaer with limited options especially in midfield.

Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised the impact of Raheem Sterling since the start of the 2019/2020 premier season.

City, will not be with the services of Aymeric Laporte who is sidelined for the long term with a knee injury.
