The 6th Prestigious HiPipo awards nominations are set to close. The nominations that opened on 15th October were set to run for a month and are therefore closing soon.
In the 6th edition that was themed “Hall of Fame“, the organisers are introducing the Music Assembly that will be a composition of selected previous winners and nominees and select media personalities among others. This will contribute a percentage of 30% to 7 selected categories. Of recent marketing consultant, Community Educator and Business Communication Specialist, Vianney Kushaba was unveiled as the executive Director, Music assembly.
According to the CEO HiPipo awards, Innocent Kawooya, the awards are not meant to appease but rather to reward deserving winners. “A deserving winner is one that accumulates the highest number of votes as per the voting criteria.” he said.
Kawooya also highlighted the fact that the awards have further broadened to East Africa with more region-wide categories as a way of celebrating a broad variety of music that makes up entertainment and cultural variety.
After closure of the nominations on the 15th November, Nominees will be announced on 4th December as for voting, it will commence on 5th December 2017 to 27th January 2018 which will as well be the date for the Awards Gala Event.
