Black Friday is an informal name to explain what happens every last Friday of November every year where different business stores discounts all their products to allow customers to purchase items for the festive season.

Black Friday is regarded in many countries as the beginning of the festive season (Christmas season). In the past years, Black Friday has been embraced by several businesses which attract thousands of customers to enjoy the discounted prices on a variety of products.

In Uganda, most supermarkets like Shoprite, PEP, Tuskys and others are some of the major contributors to these Black Friday big sales and other online stores like Jumia Uganda and several others.

At the moment companies have started preparing, stocking and allocating discounts on different products and have promised to provide big discounts on all their products.

As Ugandans are preparing for the Black Friday, they have been advised on the different steps o exploit to be the main beneficiaries of this campaign.

Among the listed steps includes making a wish list, having a budget for the products needed, getting a reference price for all the products needed, list down all the stores embracing Black Friday and the prices of each product offered by different stores, assuring the delivery times and cost among others.

As we are approaching the Christmas season, the market place has started screaming buy! Buy! at the lowest prices.

According to Jumia Uganda, the leading online store they will deduct their prices up to 70% on different products like electrical materials, appliances, bed products among others for most of their customers who will order during the Black Friday celebration.

It should be remembered that in 2017, Jumia broke in house records by attracting 17 times more orders than any other day and 4 times more traffic on their website.

Therefore, Black Friday not only benefits the customers but equally increases the number of orders and sales made by different suppliers.

This year’s Black Friday will happen on the 29th November at most of the physical stores and online outlets around the country.

Get ready for the best prices, discounts, variety of products next to you at your favourite supermarket or store.
