Dickson’s resignation was announced by himself on Friday through an email sent to the staff on Friday 29 May.

Mr Kateshumbwa rose through the ranks in his 14 years at Uganda Revenue Authority, serving in the domestic taxes, audit, tax investigations and commissioner for customs until February 28 when Doris Akol made sweeping changes, reshuffling commissioners and promoting Abel Kagumire to replace Mr Kateshumbwa.

Mr Dickson wrote on Friday;

“Today after more than 14 years of service in the authority I have decided to end my tour of duty ahead of my contractual period with immediate effect”.
